HU Flight Emergency Return

A bird collided into the windscreen of a Zhengzhou-bound Hainan Airlines flight (HU7266) on Monday, April 9, shortly after the airplane left Fuzhou Changle International Airport.  According to a staff person from Hainan Airlines, the Boeing 737 airplane took off the ground at 8:20 pm on Monday, and was hit by a bird in the windscreen shortly after take-off, leaving a crack on the windscreen glass.  The collision didn’t affect the safety of the flight, but did cause the crew to make an emergency return after damage assessment.
