China will update its national train operation diagram from July 1st, 2018 in order to bring more routes and efficiency to the rail network. The highlight for Fuzhou residents will be an addition of direct trains to Guangzhou – the capital city of neighboring Guangdong province. A completion ceremony of the 17-mile Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) was held at West Kowloon station in Hong Kong late in March. At the ceremony, Vibrant Express was announced as the brand name for Hong Kong – Shenzhen – Guangzhou high-speed services. Fujian Tianxin is off to a shaky start in the game on Saturday May 19. Only 2 minutes into the opening, Zewen Chen, a striker on the opposing team intercepts an innocuous-looking pass from defensive back Kaifang Jin and converts it to Hefei’s first goal with a powerful shot. On Thursday, residents of Shuxiang Dadi (书香大第) in Gulou area noticed 4 smart-looking garbage cans down at their apartment buildings: one each for metallic waste, paper, PET and glass. Waste outside these categories apparently need to go to the ‘traditional’ garbage can nearby. A couple of company staff members were giving hands-on instruction on how to use these smart cans. Trailing Hunan Xiangtao 0:2 at halftime, the Fujian squad didn’t quit and were resolved to pull out a victory on Saturday. Their grit resulted in a more focused second half offensive attack and eventually into a Fujian Tianxin’s win.
The first day of Labor Day holiday (April 29- May 1) saw the launch of Pocket Beer School, delivered physically at Pocket Brewery in Jinshan and by brew master Shihai Sun hands-on. There were office workers, college students etc, all drawn in here for the common love for craft beer. Shihai had all covered with tons of information about beer and the class. A British ale was what the group looked to brew for their first brew day. Many had the chance to lay their hands on all the grinders, muslin bags, kegs and other rigs.
On April 19th, Fuzhou Zoo released to the public a health status report of their enclosed animals, which showed multiple kangaroos were attacked by visitors, resulting in one killed and another injured since end of February.
Pegas Fly has launched flights from Fuzhou to Moscow on April 17th, the first service for the airline to south east China. For Fuzhou Changle Airport, it is the third inter-continental route after Fuzhou-Sydney and Fuzhou-NYC connections. The 10-hour-long flights are being operated with B767-300 (278 economic seats, 12 business) on a weekly basis, departing from Fuzhou for Moscow at 5:00 pm on Tuesdays, and returning at 11:25 pm from Moscow. According to the flights operator, the price of return tickets is in a range of 6,000 yuan – 8,000 yuan.
Fujian Tianxin picked up their second win in a row against a league opponent Yunnan Feihu. On Saturday, Tianxin hosted the game at Fujian Normal University due to the unavailability of their home venue Provincial Sports Center for the day. (more…)
